  Place has been around for ages and is still some of the best ice cream on Long Island. Place has a very nostalgic feel to it and it's sort of a step back in time. Most of the food is good there too. I had a burger and fries and was not disappointed.
  
  Definitely swing by if you're in the area.

  Came with my friends to get dessert. One of my friends strongly recommended this place due to how amazing it has been for years, especially due to their delicious ice cream. Ive tried this place twice and both times it was amazing. The restaurant is small and cozy, the staff were very warm and friendly. Our waitress was helpful and had great recommendations. I ended up picking the warm apple pie a la mode with the Maple Walnut ice cream  and it was amazing. My friend made a sundae as well with warm nuts and the marshmallow sauce which I tried a bite from - the sundae was delicious as well. I definitely recommend trying it out and I would return to try some more of their other ice creams.
  Ive also heard that their hot food is also really good. Will definitely have to give that a shot someday as well!

  Came here on a Friday night with a friend just for dessert. The restaurant itself was fairly busy, so we opted for a table in the back corner. After being seated, 5 minutes later the waitress came over and took our drink orders. We stuck with water and looked up the menu. The majority of the menu was ice cream items such as sundaes, scoops and such. They also had a banana foster and 2 pie selections.
  
  Because we haven't seen each other in a while, we were having conversation rather than choosing our items quickly. The waitress came over 3 times asking us if we were ready yet!! On the third time we politely told her we would call her over when we were ready. Its hard to look at the menu and talk at the same time.
  
  In the end we stuck to a basic choice. I ordered the lemon meringue pie with vanilla ice cream, and my friend the apple pie (warmed) with butter pecan ice cream. Truthfully I didn't love my pie. It was way too sour and hadn't tasted fresh. The vanilla ice cream on the other hand was delicious!!! Super creamy and the perfect amount of sweet. My friend loved his apple pie and ice cream! I tried a bite of it and his pie tasted nice and warm, and way fresher than mine had tasted.
  
  Once we asked for the check, we didn't decide to pay right away- again we were finishing up our conversation and the place was starting to empty out (so it wasn't like she wanted to use our table for another party). She came by 2 times to see if we had paid the bill. Finally we were so annoyed than we paid the bill and tip and left. We felt like we were being rushed, and the restaurant was open for another 3 hours!
  
  If I ever did come back, it would only be for the ice cream. Truthfully service was eh.

  Hildebrandt's would earn five stars just for it's ice cream. Great flavors served with the best whipped cream in Nassau county! Their hot fudge is asking a treat.
  
  But their excellence isn't limited to dessert. Do yourself a favor and have dinner first. The burgers are great and their Pasta a la Mama is one of my wife's all time favorite pastas. This pasta was rightfully featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.
  
  Do yourself a favor and visit this Williston Park gem.

  Let me start by saying I'm in nostalgia and the way places looked in the past ... this place has a great vibe...an old fashioned type diner/ice cream shop.. came here for Friday date night with my Love ...we had the mozzarella sticks that we saw on tv ... they were ok ....we each had a burger deluxe ... great burger cooked perfect... fresh lettuce and tomato... great circle cut potato fries ... ended with a banana royal sundae... 3 scoops of home made ice cream and bananas nuts whipped cream and hot fudge on the side ...OMG this is how real ice cream tastes...great service ...
